+scottleeh
When a reviewer first temporarly disables a cache and the owner never replies how long will it be until the cache is archived? For instance a cache was temporarily disabled on August 21, 2010, the owner still hasn't replied. When will this be archived because I would like to place a new one in the same area. GOF and Bacall
Depends. The reviewer may be talking to the owner about issues. There is no way to know what is going on behind the scenes. It happens when it happens. Quote Link to comment
knowschad
That's up to the reviewer, but I'm guessing they'd give the owner a month or 6 weeks to fix it up or give a reason why they can't. Quote Link to comment
+Cache O'Plenty
In the meantime, put it on your Watchlist so you'll get any logs that may be generated. Quote Link to comment
+t4e
our local reviewers usually archive them after 3 months from the first notice Quote Link to comment
+hydnsek
Here in Washington state, reviewers usually archive caches if they don't hear back from the owner within a month. Quote Link to comment
+Kyle98632
Yeah, I think it totally depends on were you live. I have the benefit of living on the Washington/Oregon border and I know when reviewers here in WA give notice as stated above its usually a month, but Ive noticed reviewers in Oregon gives two weeks. Honestly though, you should write the cache owner and see what he/she is planning on doing in the future with the cache, because you have an idea for a cache in the general area if they arent planning on restoring it. knowschad
On hindsite, I must say that I have never ever seen a reviewer archive a geacache. For that matter, I have never seen them publish a geacache. (OK. I'm a smartass. I admit it.) Quote Link to comment
4wheelin_fool
Areas that are cache dense and are visited more regularly seem to have them archived much quicker than rural or wilderness areas. It could range anywhere from 3 weeks to 6 months. Quote Link to comment

Email the reviewer who disabled the cache, and say "Hey, what's up with that cache? I want to place a new one in the same area." Odds are good that they'll either tell you they're in negotiations with the cache owner, or that your message will bring the cache to their attention again and they'll archive it.
