what to do? I placed a bug and now it's missing

Hi. First post. Relative newbie, just begun Geocaching a couple of weeks ago. Have located about 10 caches thusfar.

 

Anyhow, placed the Hayabusa travel bug in a cache last week. Four people have since vistied the cache. None of them mention taking it or logged taking it. Visitor number five states that the bug is not in the cache. Website shows bug still being there. Very odd.

I can assure you that I followed proper procedure and did indeed place the bug in this cache.

I'd email everyone that logged a visit. Not everyone knows you have to log bugs seperate from the cache when you pick one up.

Unfortunately often times bugs just go missing. I hope that hasn't happened to yours, but it does happen. People either take them for themselves, or what I'm guessing usually happens is they are taken and forgotten about. I placed on in WA hoping it would make it back to PA and it made it out of the cache, then dropped off the face of the earth.
