+ecanderson
My oregon 550t doesn't show when a cache is temporarily unavailable, anyone else have this problem? I tend to filter these out with my weekly PQ (adding the box for "Is Active" to "I haven't found"), so I never see them. In your case, if you look at the recent log activity for the cache on your 550, you will likely see that the last of the log entires is the one that made the cache unavailable. It's uncommon that there are 4 finds after one is made unavailable, so even if it's not the last log, it should be within the last 4. Quote Link to comment
+dfx
In your case, if you look at the recent log activity for the cache on your 550, you will likely see that the last of the log entires is the one that made the cache unavailable. It's uncommon that there are 4 finds after one is made unavailable, so even if it's not the last log, it should be within the last 4. the problem with this is that the oregon doesn't show the log type for anything other than "found" and "didn't find". which means that all other log types simply have no icon and it doesn't say anywhere what the log type is. so the only clue as to what it was is the log text - and many times that's not quite enough. i'm afraid the only solution to this is to run the PQ through some 3rd party app, GSAK or whatever else. personally i prefix the cache name with D** to mark it as disabled, and also append the log type to the username of the logger to indicate what it was. +New Jersey TJ
Keep it simple . . . as ECAnderson suggested, just make sure that you filter the disabled caches from being included in your Pocket Query by using the "is active" filter. You'll find it in the "That (And)" section. Quote Link to comment
+Nature Kids
Thanks everyone, I was hoping there was a simple switch on the Oregon that I could toggle. We also use a Nuvi for driving & that shows when they are disabled, so I'll use that, or sort in my PQs. I'd think if the Nuvi had the function, the 550t would too.... Quote Link to comment
+g-o-cashers
The best way to achieve this is to use the GSAK Garmin Export macro. http://gsak.net/board/index.php?showtopic=...ost&p=97225 Quote Link to comment
