IMSplinter
Hello.. IMSplinter also know as Splinter. I have been geocaching with my dad Mtnmutt and brother Furball for many years, even when we were in Boy Scouts. we have been signing into caches but my brother & I have not accounts until recently. Are you going to have a cow if we go back and log FINDS, now we have accounts? I see others have but I do not want to upset some of you. Is this ok, please? IMSplinter Quote Link to comment
+WRASTRO
Go for it! If anyone complains just tell them to take a find away from your Dad's account. Quote Link to comment
+TotemLake
I don't see any problems with it. It's a common practice. Quote Link to comment
+AndrewRJ
I have done it on my daughters account and I know a very prominent caching couple that split their account a few years ago. No problems, it would be useful if you stated that you were re logging not that you have your own account so that people understand the old find date. Quote Link to comment

+LaxRef93
I'm doing it for my 10 year old daughter right now. Just like a previous post, I'm putting an explanation in the log that she just got her own account and is logging the finds. As she gets older, if she decides to continue caching on her own, then she's got a record of what she's done. Wish I just would have thought of that from the beginning Quote Link to comment
+MtnMutt-ProDuckShins
See how you is! Ha They also want to go back to Caches we put in under my account and log since they signed in them. Then their are ones that were Archived that they signed into but never logged. They missed out on those. At least they are trying to take an interest. We shall see what they do.... The logging feature isn't disabled. I'll second that. If you couldn't log archived caches I would have never been able to log the lilypad. Only time it might be a problem is if it is locked, but that only happens with "problem" caches. Quote Link to comment
IMSplinter
Yahoo! Thanks to all for the advise and helping words. Not sit down and review notes, pieces of paper and look at dads finds for accurate records. Thanks again... Quote Link to comment

Present company was not involved in that mess. Quote Link to comment
IMSplinter
Yahoo, everything is going to be easier now! Dad was supposed to be heading to Australia this week but someone {upper level managers} put a stop to it. He has to now take us to Seahawk games and help figure out which caches we have done. He not happy but everyone else is... HaHaHee Quote Link to comment
+travisl
As a cache owner who has had several cachers do this, I have no problem with it, but just one request: if you can, don't log your old finds with new dates. Try and include an accurate "found" date. This is especially useful on archived caches, because if you log with the current date, it'll stay on top of the list of logs nearly forever.
