+kmohana825
We're new to geocaching and just purchased a 60csx. I've been able to load the cache information from geocaching.com, however I've noticed the cache information on the 60csx does not include the details of the cache of any of the hints. Is it possible to include this information? All I get in the notes section of the cache is a brief sentence if that. I loaded the info using gsak, is there and option there that I missed to include the cache details? I read somewhere where they said to print out the details for the cache and take it with them. That seems to defeat the purpose a bit of the unit. Even my cell phone shows that information so I guess I'm wondering how others actually use this unit. many thanks, kmohana825 Quote Link to comment
+simplyred
60csx doesn't do paperless, you need the 62. Only way is to print the sheets or use a PDA. Quote Link to comment

+SidAndBob
I find this GSAK macro very useful. It will give you the full hint, cache size, D/T etc. As it stores them in POI you can have thousands in your CSx at any one time. Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
60CSX will do 'limited paperless' with the use of GSAK and a macro to turn the cache page in to a POI... Do a search on the GSAK forums. I'd link, but I keep getting 'waiting for forums.Groundspeak.com...', and then timing out. Edited August 29, 2010 by Bear and Ragged Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
The 60CSx does not have paperless geocaching ability natively. You will need to use GSAK and the proper GSAK Macro on your computer to export the data including some of the description and hint. http://gsak.net/board/index.php?showtopic=8932 Then you will need to use Garmin's POI Loader software to load the data as Custom POIs. +kmohana825
Thanks for the clarification about paperless caching. Makes more sense now! Thanks also to those of you passing the GSAK macro along. I'll give that a shot. Quote Link to comment
+Red90
If all you need is the hint, then you do not need a macro. Simply put "%hint" in the "waypoint description format" box when sending to the unit within GSAK. Quote Link to comment
+DonB
Thanks for the clarification about paperless caching. Makes more sense now! Thanks also to those of you passing the GSAK macro along. I'll give that a shot. If you can live with just the cache name and the hint you can set EasyGPS up to do that. There is also a free program called CacheMagnet that you can use to print cache information out using a minimal amout of paper. Quote Link to comment
