+BlueDeuce
A Stat Box is a little icon you can place on your public profile that shows the image, name, mileage, and current location of your Traveler. People can also click on the image to access the bug page. These are the instructions on how to add a stat box to your profile. (Don't worry, it's not hard to do) Step 1. Make sure you have a default image set on your bug. This will not work without one. Step 2. Copy this line of code and paste it into a text editor, like Notepad. <a href="http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?guid=##########"><img border="0"src="http://img.geocaching.com/stats/tb.aspx?guid=##########"></a> Step 3. Access your bug page and select Edit This Trackable. Step 4. In the URL address field of your browser, copy off all the little numbers and letters after the guid= Step 5. Over in your Text editor replace the ########## with the little numbers and letters. Note: The ########## is listed twice, paste the same information in both locations. (Do not replace anything else except the #'s) Step 6. Copy all that information in your text editor and paste it into your profile. I prefer to add an HTML paragraph separator <p> on a line before and after so it doesn't interfere with the other details I have on my profile. If you are adding multiple bugs do not put any HTML break between them and they will line up side by side on your profile page. Step 7. Submit and view your profile page. (You may need to refresh the screen) TADA! Edited August 15, 2010 by BlueDeuce Quote Link to comment

Andronicus
I followed the instructins, and they worked great. Maybe just add a little more instruction clairifying that the same letter/number string is used to replace both sets of ##########. Some of the pics get a little squished. I guess that is because they need to be square. Edit: Would be nice if there was a way to get metric up there. Edited August 15, 2010 by Andronicus Quote Link to comment

Edit: Would be nice if there was a way to get metric up there. You should ask for that in the feedback forum. Thanks! Edited August 15, 2010 by BlueDeuce Quote Link to comment

+ipodguy
Hmmm. I've done all my older ones following the instructions. Why can't I get this one to work? TB3MD5X guid=0ed1e6f2-f841-44bb-8397-31befde9369f It's part of a puzzle cache and it would be really helpful to include a stat box to the cache page. I was having trouble before because I didn't have a default image, but I went and uploaded one and still no luck. Here's my html: <a href="http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?guid=0ed1e6f2-f841-44bb-8397-31befde9369f"><img border="0"src="http://img.geocaching.com/stats/tb.aspx?guid=0ed1e6f2-f841-44bb-8397-31befde9369f"></a> Quote Link to comment

I also have the link on my profile. I'm working on a few other Howto's that if they are worth posting I think we're looking at starting a pinned thread that would include the previously posted Howto threads. I added this to a request on the website... Hmmmmm.... nice thought maybe, but re-read step 1..... Step 1. Make sure you have a default image set on your bug. This will not work without one. Most cache pages don't have a default image. Do any of them? Quote Link to comment
