Calgary Caches

Hello all,

 

I am travelling with the family to Calgary area and want to attempt some memorable caches. We are heading to Calgary from BC (via rogers pass) and heading to Drumheiller for a day also.

 

On the way back we will likely head southwest from Calgary and stay in Trail area of BC.

 

Any must attempt caches???

Search for Parks 100 on geocaching.com - the City of Calgary Parks have installed 100 geocaches in 100 different parks. They are placed throughout the city and contain prizes and anniversary Parks 100 geocoins.

I found this one when it was called "Things With Springs". Not the kind of thing you expect to see in Huntington Hills.

Since you are driving, there is a great cache near Lac Des Arcs called Cold Cache http://coord.info/GCR06W Bring a flashlight.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the "Consensus Favorites" bookmark list.

 

Most of the caches already mentioned above are likely to be on the list, so just find the list on a cache page, and go nuts.

Woot this is a good thread! we are very new ourselves to caching so doing some fun ones is definitely part of the plan. Will hang on to this thread and go check those out. Thanks for posting them!

Here's a list of the crowd favourites at the recently concluded Cache and Release event. The event had lots of fine caches. You could randomly pick a dozen from this bookmarks list and probably be happy with all of them.
