Worricow
Hmm.. I was just watching Bones (the TV show) tonight, and they referenced a Geo coord. i wonder if something is planted there. The location is: 37 degrees, 08' 01.37 78 drgrees. 01' 30.17 If anyone looks it up, could you please post what you found? (and give me half if it's like a million dollars?) Just joking, but TV shows don't usually put gps cooridnates out for everyone to see. I bet there's something there. Quote Link to comment
hesslv
A VERY rough estimate I have is somewhere in Virgina? Does the show take place there? Quote Link to comment
Chokecherry
I think the show mostly take places out of Washington DC. Quote Link to comment
DannyCaffeine
I got this- http://maps.google.com/maps?client=hp&...sa=N&tab=wl Incase it does not work, it is in Keysville Virginia. Quote Link to comment
qurlix
Try this link for Google Maps: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source...&iwloc=near Unfortunately, there are no caches within 5 km: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.asp...;lng=-78.025047 If that were near me, I might go place a cache themed about the show. That is, if I knew anything much about it. Quote Link to comment
will71
Maybe it's something that the producers, or someone else related to the show, planted there themselves while filming? If so, it's definitely worth checking out by someone. I'd go, but I'm in Jacksonville, Florida. Bit of a drive for me Quote Link to comment
dcmcveigh
My wife seems to think it was a "Grave Digger" episode where a federal agent went rogue and killed people and gave coordinates to meet for evidence disposal. Maybe the title of the episode may be wrong though. Quote Link to comment
DonB
I make it a habit when I'm watching a movie and they give coordinates, I jot them down and look them up later. After doing this a few times I think the movie people just use something that sounds like it's close to the area the movie is about. One set of coordinates I got a kick out of was supposed to be for the LA river so a plane could crash land there. The actual coordinates were about 20 or 30 miles out in the Pacific Ocean. +vw_k
They may have used co-ords where they knew it wasn't private land or anywhere dangerous just in case somebody tried looking them up and visiting the area. Here in the UK there are phone numbers put aside for use in film and television so if anyone tries phoning a number they see on TV they won't be calling some confused old lady! Quote Link to comment
Flo.
I believe that was the episode where gormigon kidnapped Bones and Hogkins and buried them in the car. Hogkins used purfume and something else to get a cell signal long enough to send the coords of where they were by looking at the soil around them. I think. Quote Link to comment

42at42
As said above.. The red X marks the spot and the nearest cache is just over 5K away. Quote Link to comment
hawkster2020
i believe the episode was actually about a kid who found a geocache that was an old ammo container with a coat and bones in it... but i think they called it something like geoteasure or similiar, its how i found out about geocache, i was curious and searched it out !
