Valdez5
We are heading up to Kings Canyon National Park in California and we were wondering if there is satelite reception to do some geocaching? Quote Link to comment
+Wes_and_Miles
The satellites are constantly orbiting so the reception is about the same anywhere. Of course you may have more issues with trees and ravines blocking them. A bigger issue is that caches aren't allowed in the park. You should be able to find plenty on your way there and back and in the forest outside the park boundary. Quote Link to comment
+DragonsWest
Some nice Virtuals, if you come up through Sequoia. Quote Link to comment
+Touchstone
Reception won't be any particular problem, but finding non-Virtual caches might. I seem to remember a couple of caches between the borders of Sequoia and Kings Canyon where it briefly goes into National Forest. Otherwise, pretty much a toss up whether to grab the small number of Virts in Grants Grove, or just forget it and go Waymarking. Kind of an even split in my mind Have a great time!
