+frinklabs
I found a nice little spot for a cache on an island that had an Ontario MNR sign prohibiting overnight camping. It's definitely Crown Land, and falls in this administrative area: http://www.lio.ontario.ca/imf-ows/sites/cl...&polid=G342 That report neither allows or prohibits geocaches. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks! Quote Link to comment

You should check to see if the Crown Land is being managed by another authority. For example, the Crown Land tracts in Halton are managed by Halton Region and Conservation Halton - so it's subject to their policies. I'm not sure who the management authority would be for that area, but good chance it's associated with the local watershed authority. Also a pretty good chance it's Ministry of Natural Resources and they aren't generally concerned with geocaches from my experience. Quote Link to comment
