+Maroho
I've been looking for a GPS receiver since I began caching a couple of weeks ago but unfortunately they're all out of my price range. However I came across the Route 66 Mini GPS Receiver on eBay for £38 (inc. postage) which makes it the cheapest one I've seen. To me it looks like an automotive GPS, but it's listed as both that and a handheld GPS as well. The seller confirmed it could be used as a handheld GPS, but the battery life was only 1-2 hours. If it takes regular batteries (which I've asked the seller) then that's not a huge problem as I can carry spares. What I'd like to know from anyone with experience with this model or GPS units in particular is could this unit be used for Geocaching (i.e not just restricted to roads) and is it worth buying at that price? +splashy
Maybe you should have a look @ http://www.gumtree.com/ for a pre owned gps, or ebay? Quote Link to comment

+RRLover
Can a bicycle designed to be used on-road be used as a mountain bike? Yeah, but it ain't much fun. Norm Quote Link to comment
