+northernpenguin
The way they are handling the data management is nt very good... "Handling". Yeah, that's not the term I'd use.... clearly Basecamp cannot "Handle" copious amounts of data. Quote Link to comment
+coggins
I created an automation utility to tile an area and initiate each of the downloads, it works pretty good but needs some more testing and cleanup - you can see a (bad) video of it in action: That looks pretty slick Quote Link to comment
+musmanfam
Probably should of read the forums before I bought this. Heading camping tomorrow and just remembered I wanted to get this purchased and loaded well before I left. So much for that, I can't even figure out how to get the maps to download! When I open up Basecamp it asks me if I want to create BirdsEye Imagery for my device. I select the area I want, it confirms my subscription and when I hit download I get this: There was an error obtaining the tile information. Please try again. Am I missing something? +BStheTech
Here is a more up to date thread I started. I was able to get it to work and for my area the maps are stunning. Great addition to my 62st. Birdseye hate B. Quote Link to comment
Sigtryg
I just bought a Garmin Rino 650t and downloaded Basecamp. I began downloading a small Birdseye map and found it is slower than molasses in the Yukon and searched this thread. It appears Garmin has made no improvements in a half decade. Quote Link to comment
