How can I copy the info off my pn-40,,sending it in to be fixed

well my pn-40 is going back to be fixed,,it died on me but works 100% hooked up to usb.

I need to get or backup the info on the pn-40..

has anyone had to send on back for not turning on with batteries in it? what did they do?

If everything on your 40 is saved to Topo 8, you're good to go.

 

Delorme's usual reported fix for the problem you describe is "Replaced back plastics".

I don't know what it means, but "replaced back plastics" was what they did to mine. I guess they replaced the inner workings. I really haven't taken a good look at it.

 

As for saving stuff, they ask that you send it in without the batteries and take out the sd card. So when you get it back, everything is still there when you put your SD card back in.

well I sent in my pn-40 to be fixed and I got this email...

 

I got it on here used with no warranty ..gess they are going to fix it for free..

I have not got a email about a payment but we will have to see..
