Garmin Nuvi 295W on sale at Amazon

The feature set sounds intriguing. For Monday, it's the Gold Box deal of the day for $150. I won't link to it directly but any Amazon shopper should know how to find it.

 

It has:

• Wi-Fi
  
• Dual orientation screen (landscape / portrait)
  
• 3 MP camera
  

and all the other usual Nuvi features, of course.

 

Anyone own one? Specifically, I'd like to know how well it work.

 

Edit : after some research, I see it is essentially a NuviPhone without the phone. Smaller screen (3.5") compared to the usual widescreen Nuvi models.

 

Edit 2 : Powered mount - nice. Poor battery life, poor speaker - not so nice.

 

Guess I'll pass. If it has a larger screen, I'd replace my 755T with this.

I like it because it does not stick out so far so it's less likely I'll break it off in the gps. Or break the gps, for that matter.

Holy smokes, old thread resurrection! Well, when Amazon dropped the price, I couldn't resist it and bought one for $89. Since then, they dropped it to $79, then $63 (another Gold Box special) and now it seems to have stopped carrying it. I saw 3rd party vendors selling it on Amazon, and Newegg had it yesterday for $89 I think.

 

For headphones adapter I got this one:
