+nativtxn Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 I have an event set up through the GC site. What is the procedure for Events? Do you mark them as "Will Attend" and or "Attended" or not when you're the one that set them up? Quote

Actually, probably no need to post a "Will Attend", but sure... post an Attended log for yourself. By all means. Quote
+Gitchee-Gummee Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Not really the same as "finding" your own cache. Answer this question -- if you "attend", shouldn't you have the "attended" icon? Quote
+DragonsWest Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Event Etiquette, as I understand it through the allegorical marvel of Goofus and Gallant: Goofus logs attended before the event has happened, saying he will try to attend. Gallant logs a note, saying he will try to attend or logs a will attend if he is quite certain he will attend. Goofus does not remove his attended log entry when he was unable to attend. Gallant posts a note, saying he was unable to attend and sorry for missing what must have been a great gathering. Goofus logs another attended after attending the event, so he now has attended it twice. Gallant logs attended only after attending the event. Quote
+BBWolf+3Pigs Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Continuing with the theme.... Goofus logs six attended logs, because he found the five temporary caches that were placed for the event and attended the event. Gallant only logs one attended log, since you can only attend the event once. Quote
knowschad Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Gallant only logs one attended log, since you can only attend the event once. In Wisconsin, you sure can!! I think that's in the Guidelines somewhere. Quote
+Castle Mischief Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Some folks do, some don't. I didn't for the one that I hosted, but I just as easily might have. I thought about it for a while, but I didn't want to shift all my milestones that I've found since then one space over. Either log as attended or not and don't let anybody that disagrees with you get you down about it. Quote
