+Jeremy Posted May 16, 2002 Posted May 16, 2002 I'm starting to document mileage in the database (it used to be handled on the web page side), so if you know of a bug that should be on the top 10 list, all you need to do is look at it for the stats to refresh. http://www.geocaching.com/track Jeremy Jeremy Irish Groundspeak - The Language of Location Quote
+clatmandu Posted May 16, 2002 Posted May 16, 2002 Three ducks in the top 10 list. What's up with that? Maybe I should have sent out a duck Quote

Zuckerruebensirup Posted May 16, 2002 Posted May 16, 2002 I was hoping that, along with the mileage handling change, we could start seeing state lines on the US tracking map. ------- "I may be slow, but at least I'm sweet!" Quote
+gnbrotz Posted May 16, 2002 Posted May 16, 2002 Does anyone know if there's a minimum distance a bug has to travel before the "travel map" kicks in? So far, my Runaway Raisin has only traveled 1.19 miles, but he's in someone's hands now, and after he's dropped this time, it should be about a 300 mile move. Just wondering. +Markwell Posted May 17, 2002 Posted May 17, 2002 According to an old Jeremy post, yep: 30 miles minimum. Markwell My Geocaching Page Quote
Slytherin Posted May 17, 2002 Posted May 17, 2002 This one should be in the top 10 http://www.geocaching.com/track/track_detail.asp?ID=1355 To be fair, Daddio (The Robb Family Adventure) should be disqualified. Alex. Quote
+Dekaner Posted May 17, 2002 Posted May 17, 2002 What about other categories? I'd like to see: - Distance - Number of Caches visited (Most of the distance people only won because someone took a trip overseas.) - Distance per State? - Distance per Country? - Other things I can't think of now because I'm plotting my way to get onto the top 10 list. - Dekaner of Team KKF2A Quote
+mikemtn Posted May 19, 2002 Posted May 19, 2002 What about Big Easy Bear? I don't think the mileage tracking is going to be of much interest. _______________________________ Thanks, Mike It's Purple Martin Time in Tennessee Quote
WJJagFan Posted April 3, 2003 Posted April 3, 2003 I'd like to see a top ten for distance as well. I've had a bug wind up in a pretty far fetched location which had only been visited twice since it was placed and the visits were more than a year apart which meant my bug sat there forever before it was picked up. One fun thing about the drop however was the distance the bug traveled. It went from Calgary in Canada to Mazatlan in Mexico. After it was finally picked up it went to Washington State. It may not be in the top ten for distance, but I'd like to see the bugs that have "flown" the farthest. WJJagFan Quote
+Renegade Knight Posted April 4, 2003 Posted April 4, 2003 My duck went MIA. Maybe there are just more ducks out there. ============================== Wherever you go there you are. Quote
