+PapaMinion
Hello all, I'm a newbie so I apologize if this is known information and I have somehow missed it. When looking at the list of caches, I see a column with the cache size but also a listing of "D/T". What does this mean? I am beginning to figure out all the acronyms used on this site and in posts but this is one I'm not sure of. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Josh Quote Link to comment
+Mezgrman
It's the difficulty and the terrain rating. Difficulty is how easy it is to find the cache (or to solve a riddle) and terrain, well, it's the terrain rating Mezgrman Edit: See here (look for "D/T") Edited July 6, 2010 by Mezgrman Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
Not a problem! Click here: http://www.geocaching.com/about/glossary.aspx#DT D/T Geocaches are rated in two categories, each designated on a 5-point scale. Difficulty relates to the mental challenge of finding a cache and terrain describes the physical environment. A 1/1 difficulty/terrain rating would the easiest cache to find, while a 5/5 difficulty/terrain rating would be the most difficult. and here: The Lexicon of Geocaching Quote Link to comment
