Readymixer
Could someone please define the following: PID? ROW (i think this one is Right of Way)? Difference between a local survey marker disk and a Geodetic benchmark? Azimuth? Again, I am new to this this hobby (sport maybe? ) and want to understand the jargon. Thanks in advance for the help! +GEO*Trailblazer 1
As a safeguard against loss of the Triangulation station, it is necessary that there be set at least 2 (reference marks) each consisting of a disc bearing an arrow set to point toward the station. The True bearings and horizontal distances to the reference stations from the main stations should be measured and recorded. Another important station is the (Azimuth mark)which can be used to furnish an azimuth(the vertical plumb line in line with the North Star) astronomical observation to local surveyors and engineers initiating a survey at the main station.here is a good link, www.blm.gov/gcdb Quote Link to comment
