Ok. C'est la vie!

????? What does that mean?

Such is life.

It's okay to ask but I wouldn't be too upset that the people who could pin it don't fully agree with you.

Why?

I had a teacher that was very adamant that 'why?' was an extremely poor question. His answer was usually just as vague.

Why?

Seriously - why?

Posts are just people's points. Some are meaningful, some just take up electron space without adding anything significant to a discussion. The "Off Topic" forum is a perfect example of why 4 million posts is not really significant. There's over 9,000 posts alone in a thread about "The Person Below Me..." and that thread was started back in 2004. And this post is significant to the 4,000,000 mark? This also doesn't take into consideration the fact that there were posts to the usenet group PRIOR to Geocaching.com and its forums. People wonder why the search engine is limited to characters of 5 or more per word. It's because there are over 4 million posts, and it has to search through them all - including the threads about "the person below me...".

So - what were we talking about again? Oh yea - we were talking about talking about geocaching?

Haven't seen Renegade Knight, Sbell111 or Miragee in ages. Perhaps I should take a cue from them, and take a nice long vacation. Knowing me though, that probably won't happen.

Ok so the top 10 posters have a grand total of less than 4.2% of all posts. I'm sure there is a point here somewhere.......

The point was with a tongue-in-cheek response to Motorcycle Mama's remark of C'est la Vie.

C'est la Guerre.

Even the most humble on the list of 10 is the host of the show and he is at 9.2k. You don't hear much from 'rish these days in the forums.

Everybody needs to compound their efforts to catch up with "snat".

After 7 plus years of forum posting - I'm still not at 50% of his - never going to get there.

Wow. That is one way of racking up the posts. Be careful. If you get too many people may accuse you of posting just to make your count higher. (Yeah- it's happened to me.) I'd rather see rep points or something rather than post counts. A nice "THANKS" button would be nice to thank those who have helped you.

But does this "???????????" really count?

Edit: I just realized that you missed one of the crucial platinum member requirements. You almost had enough posts today. Keep trying. We will let you know when you get the right amount.
