Routes & gpx files

I managed to create a route and did a Pocket Query. Also downloaded Google Earth (I'm a Mac user). However, I don't know how to get the gpx route file onto my Garmin. Do I just drag it to the GPX folder on the Garmin? It doesn't do me much good if it only resides on my computer.

 

Thanks for any help you can give. I'm a bit confused.

I use GSAK http://www.gsak.net/

 

You can see all the caches in your route or pocket query and filter them or delete some etc if you want to and then send them all to your GPS.

that's exactly what you do, assuming you have a garmin model which is paperless capable, such as an oregon.

If it is truly a "route" (<rte> with <rtept>s) and not caches along a route, GSAK won't handle it.

 

I use EasyGPS to send routes to my older Garmin.

What program? GSAK? Google Earth?

 

What exactly are you trying to do?

 

If you are using GSAK, have you loaded cache data into it? As a basic member, you can't get Pocket Queries.

 

Can you give more details?
