+JoGPS Posted May 5, 2003 Posted May 5, 2003 Can anybody tell me how old the stone monument is GC2451. I was told by the land owner, that he was told its one of the original markers set out between the two states. He said that he has lived there all of his like and he’s 89 years old and his family has owned the land for ever and its always been there. Quote
+rogbarn Posted May 5, 2003 Posted May 5, 2003 The fact that it states "1858-9 ON THE EAST SIDE" indicates to me that that is when the stone was originally placed. Hopefully someone more knowledable can confirm or explain further. Quote
DaveD Posted May 6, 2003 Posted May 6, 2003 This is one of the State (KY/TN) boundary monuments established by Commissioners appointed by the states during 1858-59. The legal, but brief description of this line can be in Tennesse State Statues, Title 4, Chapter 2, Section 4-2-104 Quote
