Multiple Maps on 76cx

I just picked up a GPSMAP 76cx, and installed the 2011 city navigator onto the SD card. If I want to put other maps on there (such as a TOPO of Ontario), do I need to put it on a separate card, or can both maps reside on the same card?

 

Also, do tracks take up lots of card space? I want the tracks to save to my SD card, but I am not sure if they are space hogs or not.

Yes. You can have multiple maps on a card providing the card is large enough.

Tracks take little space.

But you have to select *all* the maps you want in mapsource and download them as a group. The maps are not additive on the card, a new download deletes the previous maps.

So I would select the city nav AND the topo maps that In want in one shot and all will be well? I am glad you told me that before I transferred my TOPO over!
