+TeamAloha
Hi All, I found a benchmark in Lodi, CA and did not have my GPS with me to see coordinates. Since it was my first ever find, purely coincidentally, I was not prepared and did not know what to do. At home, I went to the geocaching site to log my find, but, alas...I cannot find/look up the benchmark by address. What do I need to do (besides going back)? Thank you for your help!!!!! +billwallace
Take a look at the Scardy Cat Benchmark Viewer - enter Lodi, Ca in the location search. If you can determine which one it is, there is a good chance it is on the GC site. If you can't find it on that viewer, it probably isn't on the GC site and the only thing you can do is savor the find and perhaps waymark it - see this GC.com faq gl Quote Link to comment
+TeamAloha
Thank you BillWallace...seems I just have to live in the glory of finding it. I may go back and waymark it later. Quote Link to comment
+Harry Dolphin
Yes. Sometimes we just delight in finding them, quite by accident. And showing them off here. Hillsborough Township, NJ, BM HT-10 E, found on the Pipeline Trail in Sourland Preserve. Not listed in GC or NGS, as far as I can tell. Coords: N 40 28.112 W 074 42.075. I only have one BM on Waymarking, and that is the NY Center of Population BM. This one is somewhat damaged, but it's cute! Quote Link to comment
+billwallace
Cool. That's pretty elaborate - would that be a crossed flintlock and arrow? Quote Link to comment
