Well, I'm not even gonna pretend I have any idea how things are done with ship naming and stuff there in Canada, BUT...

I just wanted to say how cool that I think it is that you know this important piece of family history and that I think it's seriously great!

Naomi

I just googled Canada navy ships and was sent to a list at wikipedia. Maybe thare's a more informed way to find the correct answers(previous statements by e&cplus3?). I just picked one from the list...

HMCS Huron (DDH 281)

WINNER #2!!!

That's the other RE edition! Congrats dimkasmir!!!

Time for a hint, I think!

There are four ships left.

One was the only ship of its class fitted with landing decks

One was named for the shipyard where it was built

One was featured in a Tony Curtis movie

One was (in)famous for an incident at Nanjing

Oh, and the sea cadet squadron didn't have a lot of water to work with. The first 'ship' was in the basement of the town post office. It then moved to the Seperate School auditorium, Town Hall, the Masonic Lodge, and the High School gym -- all quite waterless.
