Justforkix1
Hi, I found a Gaging Station Disk which was a brass disk with US Geologic Survey on it and no other special markings except the standard $250 fine for removing it. I wanted to log this in, but cannot seem to "find" it anywhere on the Geocaching site. All I have are the decimal based coordinates and that provided no results when I tried a search for it. Can someone give me some advice? I am VERY new at this but having a lot of fun. My find was in the Jemez mountains of NM at a park called Battleship Rock. Thank you, Scott Geokids1@gmail.com Quote Link to comment
Wintertime
Hi, Scott. The "Me First" (i.e., read me first) thread at the top of this forum has the information you need: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=113335 Patty Quote Link to comment
+Black Dog Trackers
Justforkix1 - There are many thousands of disks that are not in the benchmarking database. However, if you like, you can log your Gaging Station reference mark disk in the US Benchmarks Waymarking site. You can also log the river gauge itself in the River Gauges wayarking site.
