+King.Tut Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 If you own a cache and there were travel bugs and coins in it but someone writes a note and says he didn't see a coin there. So you go out to the cache and indeed the coin is not in the cache. You search for it by emailing the last person to discover it or if someone has picked it up but you can't locate it anywhere. My question is how do you take it out of your cache since it is not in there. I know it may turn up later but it has been quite some time and a lot of people are writing that it isn't there. So I would now like to take it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Quote
+Dark Elf Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 On the coins page is an option: "Mark item missing" Just click this option to mark the coin missing Quote
+Droo Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Either cache owner or coin owner can mark a traveler as MISSING and if the coin owner has been notified by the same folks leaving notes to the cache as well as the coin page (coin owner only gets emails for logs posted to coin page not cache page) and still does nothing about it you'd be well within your rights to move it the "unknown location". +StealthRT Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 I struggle with how long to go before marking a trackable as missing since I have seen trackables leave a cache and not get logged for several months. I currently have a cache that was muggled. Between the time the trackable landed in the cache and the muggling, there were five or six finds on the cache. It’s rare around here that a trackable will last five finds without moving. The trackable could be gone or could be sitting in someone’s bag. Just not sure. Quote
