When doing a zipcode search, the 0 point is generally the location of the primary post office serving that zip code.

Is there any way to increase (or decrease) the 'distance from' to get more (or fewer) benchmarks?

A little experimentation shows that adding "&dist=5" to the end of the URL decreases the range to 5 miles.

Yes, you can also increase the radius up to 30 miles.
