Now available, the MS Geocoin.

 

 

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease of the central nervous system: the spinal cord and brains. The central nervous system can not process certain signals, because the insulation (myelin) around the nerve is affected. Some bodyfunctions cannot function or cannot function optimally. MS is very significant both for the individual as for his or her environment.

 

In the Netherlands suffer one in 1,000 people with this nerve-racking disease and yet there is no cure or treatment against the disease found so research remains important. If you want to know more about the MS Research Foundation and Multiple Sclerosis please visit www.msresearch.nl

 

The coin front represents the Multiple Sclerosis logo, the back has the text "Geocachers helpen een handje" which means like "Geocachers are offering a helping hand".

 

For every coin sold, a donation wil be made to the MS foundation.

 

Size: 38 mm diameter, 3 mm thick in 2 finishes: Polished Nickel (XLE, 50 pieces made) and Black Nickel

My mother in law suffered from MS. She died just a few weeks ago... I can tell you, life is not easy with MS, not for the patient, and not for the family!
