+sduck
This is just the pc/win version - the mac version isn't available yet. Usually the mac version appears fairly quickly afterwards though, which is good as 3.01 on the mac is pretty buggy. Quote Link to comment

Tomas4x4
It is definitely better and well worth the download but it is still short of fixing the memory problems completely. I have 21 Birdseye items (all pretty much maximum size) and my memory consumption is 2.3GB and I have seen 2 or 3 memory related crashes so far (I always happily send the crash dump to Garmin). It also seems to be a bit more responsive when switching between birdseye items. I was able to resume downloading of BirdsEye imagery. I'll see how far it will let me go till it becomes unusable again. Quote Link to comment

The link doesn't work for me. It just points me to the Garmin Software page. Even if I go on that page to Mapping Programs/BaseCamp 3.03, I end up again at the Software page. Quote Link to comment
+allory
The Garmin servers have been a bit flakey lately. When it first showed up I grabbed a copy for our archives. Its available at http://gawisp.com/perry/mapsource/ Quote Link to comment

+Orienteering
http://www8.garmin.com/software/BaseCamp_303.exe Thanks. Your link works. Interesting enough Basemap 3.03 is right now gone from the Garmin/Support/Software/Mapping Programs site. Quote Link to comment
+sailormike62
http://www8.garmin.com/software/BaseCamp_303.exe Thanks. Your link works. Interesting enough Basemap 3.03 is right now gone from the Garmin/Support/Software/Mapping Programs site. FWIW I got this from the Garmin BaseCamp Forum. "DO NOT update to BaseCamp 3.0.3 at this time -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are investigating a potentially serious error that could result in the database being corrupted. If you have already upgraded to BaseCamp 3.0.3 there are a few steps you can do to minimize the risk to your data: Do not switch back to an prior version. The database optimizations that were made for 3.0.3 cannot be read in any earlier version. Backup your %appdata%\garmin\basecamp folders before starting the application. Do not attempt to re-download any existing BirdsEye data. New downloads should be OK. The root cause of the issue seems to be with re-downloading BirdsEye imagery that was only partially downloaded in 3.0.2. This post will be updated as more information is available. +splashy
Garmin, get your freaking act together. You really make me sick with all these 'updates' By now it's a miracle your gps'es are working. Quote Link to comment
+Cache Liberation Front
Garmin, get your freaking act together. You really make me sick with all these 'updates' By now it's a miracle your gps'es are working. I have a love/hate relationship with Garmin. I LOVE their hardware (the 60CSx and the Oregon 450 are incredible devices), but I HATE their software (Mapsource and Basecamp are heaping piles of crappy code). Quote Link to comment
plarkinjr
I have a love/hate relationship with Garmin. I LOVE their hardware (the 60CSx and the Oregon 450 are incredible devices), but I HATE their software (Mapsource and Basecamp are heaping piles of crappy code). I am new to Garmin, but echo your sentiment.... is there a third-party app (for purchase or otherwise) that knocks the socks off Mapsource and Basecamp? I LOVE Google Earth but it only has the most basic integration with Garmin devices. And I know about EasyGPS, and a couple other rudimentary "waypoint loaders". I'm wondering if some enterprising developer has gone the extra mile the Garmin developers didnt in coming up with a full featured waypoint/track/route/POI maintainer that tightly integrates with most of the (huge array of) Garmin devices.
