Check out Space Shuttle Geocoin Pre-Sale for our newest coin brought to you by the Space Coast Geocachers and Coins and Pins. I know they have had issues with their web site but I believe everything is fixed now. Go on and order yours today. Make sure you read the write up about the coin and where the concept came from. We are very proud of this coin and it really is an incredible coin. They did a fantastic job on making it. The bay door opens to reveal the tracking number. The coin comes in two finishes, Gold and Nickel. Both look fantastic.

They are still having issues. I still cant order one. When I add it to my cart its there, but when I look at my cart or try to check out my cart is empty... I've been trying to order one since the 1st day it was announced. Good luck on the pre sale.

What browser are you using? Either email me at scga01@gmail.com with your order or contact them directly. You can send me your order and I will make sure your order gets in. I have tried it in several browsers without issue tonight.

When you add to your cart it takes a few seconds and you have to check that you agree to the terms and place it in your cart again. Once you do that it should be there. I just tried it using IE8 and Google Chrome and it went in my cart using both browsers. Hope this helps.

I was using IE 8, cart kept getting emptied. So I fired up Google Chrome as mentioned for the lousiana coin , and was finally able to complete the order.

THanks

are you sure you have your settings set to accept all cookies? It is very frustrating for not only you and everyone else out there trying to buy them but for us who is hoping for big sales and coins and pins thinking the site was up and ready to go.

Posted

I opened up my settings to 'allow anybody, anywhere mess with my computer," I logged on and tried again. Same result - says it is in the cart until I actually look there or go to Checkout. I have purchased from CoinsandPins before but after 2 days and multiple attempts, I give up. Sorry.

I understand your frustration. It has been frustrating for everyone involved. Don't know what to tell you, I just tried again and it works for me. Hopefully you will try one more time and it will work for you. If all else fails keep an eye on our site and once the coins come in we will have them available there. You should not have any problems there.

They have done a little more work on the site to correct some more of the problems. As of today everyone should be able to log on with any browser and order these coins. Unfortunately sales have been slow due to the site issues. Hopefully this weekend sales will pick up now that the site hopefully is working.

Ordered mine last night without a hitch. Can't wait to see it. Wish it had a earlier ship date as this would have been a great addition to DH for Father's Day.

These are really cool! I'm gonna pick one up because the week of our DisneyWorld vacation includes one of the final scheduled shuttle launches. We're hoping we'll be able to see it!

YemomYime, if you make it for the last shuttle launch please contact us and stop by. Would love to meet you. We have a very unique cache located just a few miles from the Space Center (GC15RQB). Well worth the trip, you can even do some geo-shopping while in the area.

Hi guys! Hope you are doing well down there in MI. I'm sure you don't remember us, but my wife and I were the ones across from the park in Rockledge that you helped out with finds #2 - #5 when you saw our DNFs as newbies. Well, we're up in NJ now and just over 1600 finds, and I would bet we would have quit on this sport early if not for your help and guidance.

I'm going to be buying a couple sets of these coins, they are awesome! Hope your store is doing well, and thanks for running a great caching organization down there!

I just ordered one, my first geocoin ever! Not sure if I will want to release it tho. Looks really nice! Any ideas what percentage of coins like these get released, or do people mostly hold onto them?

in my rough estimation,...these days, 50 percent of purchased trackable geocoins are activated, but only 25 percent are activated AND placed in a cache (set free) to travel in the wild. of those set free...100 percent will eventually go missing! these numbers are wild guess-timates and highly unofficial.

Hey guys...we absolutely remember you and are impressed with your finds. We have looked at your profile and noticed that you guys are loving the game. So glad you stuck with it and are enjoying the game. Hopefully one of these days we will cross paths again. The store and the Space Coast Geocachers are doing well. Glad you are getting this coin...trust me when I say this is one of the best looking coins out there.

Congratulations on your first geocoin. You certainly picked a good one. I really doubt you will see many of these coins in the wild. I know of several people that are buying more than one and planning to send one out but I doubt once they actually get them they will send them out.

How did I miss this one? I would have ordered one for sure. Wolf's Song (who will be 3 in August) is obsessed with anything outer space so I would have ordered one for him. I guess I'll have to look on the black market or try to trade something for it. LOL It's an awsome coin. You did a great job. We are hoping to visit NASA on our next trip to FL. My husband knows someone who works there (step son of Wolf's Song's godfather) so it would be nice to visit him too. I would love to go see the shuttle launch but Wolf says he heard on the news they are talking about moving it back. Hoping he misunderstood. We have a launch on DVR and we have to play it for our outer space loving toddler (preschooler?) everyday. He also wants the NASA kids site everyday. (He loves the rocket builder) Needless to say I will be on the lookout for one of these coins. Great work.

There is no need to look on the black market. We have plenty and I am sure Coins and Pins will have a few on their site as well. If you make it to NASA be sure to look us up. We would be glad to give you some pointers on caches in the area...one that is a must do is "A Cool Cache".

Coins and Pins shows out of stock on all of them.

My set arrived today! Beautiful and gigantic. Now I have to figure out how to fit them in the coin album.

They come in a box with a clear panel to see the coin and nestled in a cutout foam block.

I received my 2 sets in the mail yesterday!!!

Very well done, coinsandpins. Nice foam-padded presentation box for each coin. All neatly wrapped in bubble-wrap and shipped in a box!!!

They really went the extra mile for these, my friends.

Nice coins, arrived safely, what more could you ask for?

Thanks C+P.

Unfortunately, wolf heard correctly.

NASA wants to move the launch of STS-133 from Sept. to Oct. They also want to move the launch of STS-134, originally scheduled for July and moved once already to Nov., to Feb. 2011.

Was able to order a set today....the collecting frenzy must be slowing....usually don't get a second chance after a pre-sale. From what I've been reading, it sounds like the quality is right up there with what you would expect from Coins & Pins.

These coins will be available for a while. We have them as well as coins and pins. Thanks to everyone that ordered this coin. We are very happy with the design and final product. Glad everyone likes them.

These are absolutely amazing! ....

I must agree with this! I figured they'd be nice but these are bigger and nicer than expected! Even the little box helps set them off from other coins I've bought. My SO even said they're too nice to release! (normally I get 2 of something and send one off!)

These are even more special to me as I was lucky as a kid and got to see the Enterprise debut as well as be there for it's "Approach and Landing Test". Later we got to witness a couple non-test landings at Edwards. I just wish I could have seen an actual take off but I guess that won't happen. At least now I have souvenirs from the beginning (a pendant) and the end (the coins).

Thank you so much for doing these!
