boat caches in colorado

Are there any caches that are underwater and attached to a buoy or anything like that? Specifically in colorado?

I haven't heard of any.

 

Considering that a lot of the water is "non-contact" and mountain lakes/reservoirs, it doesn't surprise me that there aren't any.

I know of one in the Aurora reservoir. It's inside a plane wreck there, and is/was visited often as it's a drop site for SCUBA classes. I'm not sure if it's still out there - it's been a while since I heard about it.

 

Up in the high country I know of at least one - I'll have to do some digging to see if I can find it again.

So is/was the Aurora reservoir one only accessible with scuba equipment or is it retrievable from the surface? It isn't showing up in the Google/Geocaching Maps page.

Confirming as of yesterday this geocache was still attached in the cockpit of the plane and looked to be in good condition. It's about 30' underwater.

It took me some sleuthing to figure out that the SCUBA cache in question is this archived one.

 

If it's still there, perhaps someone can rescue the geocoin that was stranded there in 2015.
