+penwith pirates
Hi I have noticed that a PQ for france contains all the descriptions in french. Is there any software / GASK add on that will automatically translate the file to english? Quote Link to comment
+Malpas Wanderer
I don't know of any bulk method. For individual pages insert the URL for the page into google translate. Quote Link to comment
+dfx
IIRC there's some macros for GSAK that can do that. don't take my word for it though. Quote Link to comment
+Lydford Locators
We translate individual pages using Babelfish. It's great but sometimes it can give strange results - recently in Holland the hint became "snack" when it really was "between" - I can see where it was coming from, but it wasn't very helpful at the time. I was looking for a GSAK macro for something else when I noticed this one for translating. Might be worth giving it a try - assuming you are using GSAK of course. Quote Link to comment

+dfx
does this allow you to save the translated information to your GPSr? yeah that's pretty much what GSAK does i'd say. import data from various sources (such as GPX files), store it internally, do stuff with it, and export to various formats (such as GPX again). +rutson
The linked macro is a split screen macro, for viewing only. It does not save the translation at all, never mind to a GPSr. Quote Link to comment

Copy and paste into a GSAK note. It will then be listed at the top of the logs as a user note. Quote Link to comment
