Wherigo Has Come to Android!

Recommended Posts

I have been unable to get any cartridges to download via WhereYouGo so I resorted to the tried and true method of downloading it to my computer and then manually copying it in the WhereYouGo folder on my phone.  It's certainly not optimal but if you know in advance, it will do.

Geooh GO is currently the only app anywhere that can download cartridges from a cache description. WhereYouGo can't and I doubt it will be fixed anytime soon. The c:geo group is trying to obtain the app from the original developer in an attempt to fix it.

I get the download error while using the Groundspeak caching app and the Geooh Go app. I know SpiritGuide has been saying "Geooh GO is currently the only app anywhere that can download cartridges from a cache description" but I use to be able to do that in the Groundspeak caching app and it is not working using Geooh Go either.  HELP!!!  I know I can download it on my pc and then move it to the proper folder on my phone, but that only works if you plan ahead.

It's simple... download the cache to a list, look at the description, click the cartridge link the CO has in the description, and Geooh will ask if you want to download it. Much like any other app that downloaded before.

And using Geooh support... either the forum or support@geooh.com is much more effective in getting help than asking questions here.

I have good news! WhereYouGo has been taken over by a brand new team of developers and they released 7 hours ago a test version to their beta-testers. Up to now, feedback is really great. So I'm confident that WhereYouGo's functionalities will be back soon.

Indeed, this is currently in beta testing. You can subscribe to the beta testing program here: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/menion.android.whereyougo
