Gamma Ray Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 (edited) Here we go folks, im still looking down a few avenues for my Somerset coin, but still wanted a personal coin so i came up with this: It still needs some tinkering but you get the general idea (improvement ideas welcome). Soft enamels, Dark is raised, light is recessed. Recessed areas have a fine sandblasted texture. There would be 250 trackable with a custom icon (More than likely the one in my avatar, without the blue) produced in 3 finishes, 6 different coins in total. Micro coin 1" in size So either: 50 Red + 50 Green in Polished Gold, 50 Red + 50 Green in Polished Nickel 25 Red + 25 Green in LE Two Tone Black Nickel and Polished Gold or 50 Red + 50 Green in Matte/Foggy Gold, 50 Red + 50 Green in Matte/Foggy Nickel 25 Red + 25 Green in LE Two Tone Black Nickel and Polished Gold the two tone would have all the raised in black apart from the Geocaching X on the front which would be Gold. What do you guys think? Would you buy them? Edited May 3, 2010 by SDewer Quote
kdlutz41 Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Yup, I would get a few of these....cute... I really like the G Quote
+TeamEccs21 Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 It always depends on price, but since it is a personal coin I would certainly go for a few. Quote
+drneal Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 let me know when they go to mint...my tastes tend to run to the greens ILYK Quote
+pastor_b Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 I'd be interested in a set or two Nice coin/design! Quote
+ZeroHecksGiven Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 not sure if this is appropriate or not, but this is a coin some local did for an event here in Washington. This was years ago and will never be minted again as far as I know, but great minds must think alike, hehehe.... http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee309/g...s/photo-135.jpg http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee309/g...s/photo-136.jpg Quote

Gamma Ray Posted May 4, 2010 Author Posted May 4, 2010 It always depends on price, but since it is a personal coin I would certainly go for a few. i think after everything and including postage they are going to come out between 5-7$ each, is that too expensive? Quote
Gamma Ray Posted May 4, 2010 Author Posted May 4, 2010 (edited) Ive been having more thoughts of finishes I was now thinking: 100 Red in Polished or "Foggy" Gold 100 Green in Polished or "Foggy" Nickel 25 Red in Two Tone Black and Polished Gold. 25 Green in Two Tone Black and Polished Nickel. Simplify it down a bit making each colour a bit different in its own right. Edited May 4, 2010 by SDewer Quote
