Delta68 Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 With the weather forecast not looking too good for tomorrow, I was going to add the 'May Require Wading' attribute as a joke. However, it's not available for events? Events are sometimes set on top of mountains but you can't specify Scenic view or Significant hike Why is this? What's the reason for having a reduced set of attributes available for events? Thanks Mark
dfx Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 interesting question to which i have no answer. instead i suggest just bumping that terrain rating up to a 4 or so
Bear and Ragged Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 (edited) With the weather forecast not looking too good for tomorrow, I was going to add the 'May Require Wading' attribute as a joke. 5/5 Special equipment needed. It floods there! Edited April 30, 2010 by Bear and Ragged
briansnat Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 (edited) Good question. I've been to events that required a significant and one that required a boat. On the other hand attributes shouldn't be used as a joke. Too many people are starting to do this and it dilutes the value of the attributes. Edited May 2, 2010 by briansnat
Isonzo Karst Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Too many people are starting to do this "starting" !!! I'd bet the percentages of idiots has remained fairly constant - right from the get-go with attributes there were those who thought the snowmobile/no snowmobile attribute (Florida) was the cleverest thing. And scuba! lordy. Last several times I checked, there wasn't a single cache with the scuba attribute in the 3 SE US states that required scuba. And most of them are terrain 1 PnG.
