I used it for the first time today, and realized that this gps is not supported for uploading logs. Am I missing something since this gps seemed to be made in conjunction with gc.com.

It's a known bug in the Explorist GC firmware. Magellan's aware of it.

It works fine if you connect through Vantage Point. Even asks to clear notes when done.

I uploaded my logs through Vantage Point. When I connected my GC to the computer VP recognized that I had new logs right away and asked me if I wanted to upload them, I clicked yes and filled out my comments and I was done, then VP asked if I wanted to delete the log file after which I also clicked yes to.
