+Team_LPD
I upgraded from CN 2009 to CN 2010 NT. With the older version, I had it on both my laptop and home desktop. Installed CN 2010 NT on my laptop, but when I went to install it on my desktop it says the map detail is locked. If I try to unlock it through the Garmin site, it says my product key has already been consumed. Does this mean I have to get another product key to unlock the maps on my second computer? +The Yinnies
When I upgraded it was no problem. I think you should call them. I have the upgrade on both of mine. Thanks Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
Did you connect your GPS unit to the second computer when you installed the maps? Quote Link to comment
+Maj.Duty
This happened to me recently too, which is why I'm browsing for answers here. I've contacted Garmin via email but have yet to hear back from them so I'm simply chiming in. I have the 2011 version, fresh off the shelf so no update is (yet) required that I know of. I understand the whole piracy issue but I sure hope Garmin responds with instructions that allow one to install this software on at least two computers. To own the software and limiting customers to one install would be absurd. Quote Link to comment
+Great Scott!
Try exporting your unlock codes from Mapsource on your laptop and then importing the codes to Mapsource on your Desktop Utilities/Manage Map Products/Unlock Regions Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
You should be able to install the software and maps on more than one computer that you own without any problems. Quote Link to comment

I know one should but that's why we're writing, there are problems. TeamLPD, this should help: http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=209 Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
Ok. But you didn't provide any details about what wasn't working. And the OP posted way back in April 2010 and didn't post back so presumably they have solved their issue. Quote Link to comment
+myotis
Plug in your GPS and make sure you are connected to the Internet. You can innstall it on one GPS and as many computeres as you want. Quote Link to comment
