However, I think I stumbled across one in the Will Rodgers State Park with the coordinates of: 34o 04.128 118o 31.143 The picture of which you can find here: Benchmark When I looked the coordinates up the closest listing was just under 2 miles away. So, is this one that's just not in the system? Or did I find something else? Or... S Quote Link to comment
survey tech Posted February 5, 2003 Share Posted February 5, 2003 Its a very close facsimile of an NGS disk, but it appears to belong to a local network. Technically, it is a triangulation station, not a benchmark, but a very important point all the same. Quote Link to comment
+embra Posted February 5, 2003 Share Posted February 5, 2003 Sometimes when you think you may have a benchmark that is not listed in the geocaching.com database, it can be worth a look in the more complete NGS datasheets. For example, I took a look for Topanga Canyon station names and got a list, but none with the T-4 designation. So...what survey tech said. Max Often wrong but seldom in doubt Quote Link to comment
