+Aravinda24
Hi, say that im going for this hike on this random hiking trail. Is the best and only way to load geocaches details to my GPSr is to do a pocket query with a radius search somewhere along that trail? or is there a more precise search method? thanks. That's the method that I would use. It is simple, quick and achieves the purpose. You will get a lot of caches that you aren't interested in, but that should not be an issue, really. Another way to do it is to click on any cache on the trail, say the first one, and then click on the lower of the two maps on the cache page. That gives you the geocaching maps view. You can then see all of the caches along the trail, and can add each one into a bookmark list, from which you can do a PQ. This can be slow if there are lots of caches on the trail, as tends to be the case in our area. BUt it is very precise. There may be yet more ways to do this, but the quickest is the standard PQ of a radius sufficient to encompass the entire trail. Hope this helps Quote Link to comment
+Chrysalides
That's how I would do it. Of course, I have close to 2000 geocaches loaded all the time, for areas I might reasonably find myself in on a normal day. Car GPS has about 4500 loaded... Quote Link to comment
+Coach Steve
Best way for me is the Oregon 400t. Has all the information that the cache page does in the palm of your hand. Quote Link to comment
