ao318 Posted April 9, 2010 Share Posted April 9, 2010 Why is it you want CN for your Venture? The venture cannot perform auto routing which would really be the main reason to have CN. You would be better of getting the free TOPO maps from www.gpsfiledepot.com for your area or one of the other sites that offer it if you just want to know where you are. I can understand the need to have more detailed maps on the unit but just looking at my CN 2008 for the area of NC, yes I know the 2010 has broken it up a little more, it takes just under 27 mb of information. The Venture HC can only handle 24 mb of external maps and you would not be able to load it onto the unit. I have a venture HC also that I do have a lot of TOPO maps on it and they do have the main roads. I think this would suit your needs better. I hope this info helps Quote Link to comment
