+Anguspapa & Pacomama
My wife and I are new to GeoCaching, but not to Disneyland. Through out Disney there are many benchmarks. I'm going to Disney pretty soon and ould like to use my GPS to find all the benchmarks. Does any one have a link to the locations of all the benchmarks in Disneyland & CA Adventure. Thank you Quote Link to comment
+Kewaneh & Shark
The best thing to do would be to get and approximate lat/long of Disneyland and do a benchmark search of the area from the benchmark page. I'm familiar with the benchmarks that are used by Disney - the ones with the Mickey Mouse silouette stamped on the cap - and as far as I know, they are the parks' local control and probably would not show up on the Geocaching or NGS databases. I could be wrong though. To get an accurate listing of all of benchmark in Disneyland, you may have to contact the park engineer/surveyor or plant operations manager. +TeacherMatt
Check out this cache: Disney California Adventure (DCA) Benchmarks #1. It focuses on the DCA side. I had a blast finding these. The cache owner, Klemmer, emailed me about a month ago and told me that he is planning on creating a #2 cache. It's a fun way to explore the park if you have been there before. Quote Link to comment
+jeff35080
Those are some really spiffy benchmark disks! Jeff http://www.StarsFellOnAlabama.com http://www.NotAChance.com If you hide it, they will come.... Quote Link to comment
+Bughound
I can post a list with lat/long of a number of benchmarks at Disneyland or just a general description of where they are located. I found these a couple of years ago and have posted them a couple of times in discussion topics on www.laughingplace.com (If you are interested in Disneyland you should frequent this site). Let me know what you want me to post here, either a description or location. I have some also for DCA, but Klemmer has those in his cache list as well. Have fun in Disneyland! I wish I was going too.
