+jopasm
Amazon is down to $314 with free shipping. Kinda wish I'd waited in February when I bought my Dakota. Who knew Garmin would be playing pricing games and competing with themselves by pricing their "upper end" handheld (Oregon series) far lower than their "mid range" handheld (Dakota series). Really? I always thought Amazon was an "authorized dealer." Phew, that was a close call, I almost bought the 450 from them. edit: Wow, right in the fine print: "Purchases from Amazon.com do not qualify for this rebate offer." Ack. +ecanderson
I bought my Oregon from Amazon a year ago and received a $50 rebate from Garmin. Different promotion. My guess is that Amazon cut a heck of a deal with Garmin on this unit, and Garmin isn't willing to give up any more margin on the deal with a $50 rebate. Quote Link to comment
+Bullfrog Eh-Team
<GPSCity.ca> (Calgary, Alberta) currently lists the Garmin Oregon 450 at $329.95 (Canadian) and also provides the $50 Garmin rebate in US funds). AND - they were able to deliver mine to a 'rural' Ontario address in just 18 hours ! OOPs - the $329.95 is 'after rebate'. But, that 'shipping' is incredible. Still a decent price though if you don't want to buy from the States. Edited April 11, 2010 by Thrasher22 Quote Link to comment

PCnation has a link to the rebate on their site and states they are an authorized garmin dealer. Bing is part of Microsoft. Sign up for hotmail or msn and go to bing dot com. Go to shopping and then cashback stores. Find pcnation and click on the link. You have to navigate to the websites from bing for the cash back to work. You can get 8% cash back from ebay if you pay with paypal. I think I got back over $400 last year using bing at various sites. Quote Link to comment
