+ThickerThanWater
Can someone please tell me how to set up my profile so I can be alerted to new caches placed in my area? I have never been FTF on one and I'd like to try and do that. The problem is, Caches get published and I'm not aware of new ones for several days. Any way to set up so that a text or email is sent when a new cache goes live? Many Thanks, Thickerthanwater Quote Link to comment
+Triskeles
Go to your profile. At the options on the right, under "Premium features", is a link to "set up notifications." You'll be taken to a new page which explains notifications and allows you to create some. Quote Link to comment
+BulldogBlitz
to get FTFs... first... quit your job, leave your family, stop bathing.... j/k. i use pocket queries, allowing me the leisure time to find any within a certain radius of my house or work. pocket query sends me an email one time a day. if one hasn't been found, and it is close, i'll consider it. Keystone
Please see the Page in the Groundspeak Knowledge Books entitled Instant Notifications - Chasing First to Finds. Tip: when setting up a notification for "published" logs, also set up a mirroring notification for "retracted" logs. This will save you from the occasional wild goose chase. Quote Link to comment
