We found these markers suspiciously close (<100 feet) to where there should have been benchmarks on 2 occasions. They were about 4 to 5 feet tall and the only thing written on them was Deuteronomy 30. We couldn't see anything in the bottom of them but they felt like they would probably come up with little resistance. Didn't try it though since we are clueless about their purpose. We thought just maybe they had something to do with the missing benchmarks. nexi0002.jpg?bcrRaJ9AoZSUowJQ

Deuteronomy as you know is a book in the christian bible and chapter 30 deals in part with property possession. "And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

" May be some sort of property boundary.

27:17 'Cursed is he who moves his neighbor's boundary marker.'

All the people shall say, 'Amen.'

It doesn't say anything about curses on people who write the wrong chapter number on a boundary marker, though. icon_wink.gif
