niocrey
I am new to this. I had my first find today. It was fun. My wife and enjoyed it. We ride horses and were wondering if there are any to do in the eqestrian frendly forest preserves in northern Illinois Quote Link to comment
+gps_junky
When you start looking for caches that are 1 of a kind or just right for you to find, ie. your horseback ones, I would recommend upgrading to a premium membership and start building pocket queries. There is a lot on the forums page on how to do this. but with them, you can add attributes to your search and stuff. Works real nice. I know of a few in Wisconsin that people do on horseback. Close to St. Croix Falls if you ever want to horse cache up there. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
You can look at an aerial view of the area where you ride using the geocaching.com maps or Google Earth with the geocache viewer I recall being on a guided ride in California and passing about half a dozen caches along the way. I felt funny asking the guide and group to stop so I could get off and hunt for a cache so I didn't. Edited March 20, 2010 by briansnat Quote Link to comment

Why don't you hide some equestrian-friendly caches yourself? I did it here in Germany, event put a 10 Euro voucher in for the first-to-find with a horse. Only to find out that there are not to many horseback riding geocachers around. GermanSailor Quote Link to comment
