Can I use on oregon 450 if I am a MAC user?

Know it will work on the Garmin... But will I have to download the cartridge on a PC to get it loaded on the Garmin?

you can download the cartridge anywhere.

but you have to be able to put it from the computer into the Garmin device. i have no idea if that is possible on a Mac. if you know that you can do it, then it will work with cartridges too.

A cartridge is just a file. If you can see the directory structure on the Oregon, copy GPX files to it, get field notes from it, then you can copy cartridge files to it.

Im getting a Oregon 400 or 550 within a week. I have a MacBook Pro running parallels and I will post here if I can get it to work.

I use a Oregeon 300 (and in the past a Colorado 300) and a Macbook (10.5)

 

I normally just download the cartridge from the Wherigo site and save the .gwc directly to the Wherigo directory whilst the Oregon is plugged in via USB cable. (but you can also save it to desktop and then move it the to Oregon later)
