How to put coords in by hand

All I want to know is if I see written coords how can I input a new waypoint into my GPSr without having to use a computer.

Press and hold the joystick button. This will mark a waypoint of your current location. tab down to the coords section and select (press the joystick) so you can edit the entry.

Press and hold the button for 2 seconds. Than edit your actual coordinates.

Not terribly intuitive but - yes - you "mark" your current position, "edit" that to where you want to go. Select that point and "goto".

 

Same basic intructions on most Garmin models.
