Call me Rod. ;)

If I found a metal rod protruding from the ground within 10 feet of the last described location of a mark, did I find it? Are some of these just rebar looking rods?

As you can see from my log, it seems the concrete light pole and fire hydrant have been moved. I a little unlikely that a concrete power pole would have been moved but there was a wood fence and a newish housing development there, too!

So, ya think I found it or whut?

Thanks!

I see now that it was a tidal station disk on a rod. The only way I know to prove it is the right spot is to cover the whole area with a metal detector. Which I do not own. I wonder where you can rent one for a weekend!?

Things are very different there than in 1992. The light poles have different names, no more concrete building, new retention pond and drainage ditch along road, 1983 fire hydrant. icon_smile.gif
