+Alphadog
Has anyone mapped the caches in the SSB Geotrail? We're hoping to take a road trip from CT and would love to see them mapped out so we can hit them strategically. Quote Link to comment
+JPatton
Here's a bookmark list of the caches. You can create a pocket query from the bookmark and preview it in the gc.com google maps or google earth. I hope you enjoy the trail. Quote Link to comment

And I don't seem to be able to do that. Am I doing something wrong? Quote Link to comment
+JPatton
After creating the pocket query, on the main pq page there are 2 icons to the left of the name. One is to preview a list of the caches. The other is to view just the caches in the query on the gc.com maps. If you have your own mapping software, such as Mapsource, you may be able to load the pq and view the caches there. I didn't realize it was on the page with all my PQs listed so I kept going past that to the PQ itself! This is fantastic ... now to figure out the best place to stay so we can grab the most caches in a weekend! Quote Link to comment

+Star-Spangled Banner
Has anyone mapped the caches in the SSB Geotrail? We're hoping to take a road trip from CT and would love to see them mapped out so we can hit them strategically. I was able to create this map in Google Earth by loading the .loc file. Hope it helps! +George1
Drop the Gpx file from the PQ into Google Earth. This is a wide view. You can zoom in and take 2 screen shots of this whole thing to get more detail. Quote Link to comment
+MissJenn
Some time ago, this project officially became the Star-Spangled Banner GeoTour, so I edited the topic title to reflect that. A nice map and a GPS download are both easily available here: http://www.geocachin...rspangledbanner BONUS: even Basic Members can get that GPX download - you need not "use up" one of your Pocket Queries to get it.
