+Team Wolf Clan
I would like for this idea to work but it doesn't. Text messaging or email is a great tool for geocaching because you should be able to get a message (send or receive) in a low signal area about a cache. The Text Mark service doesn't work at all, I never get any info about a cache with it, all I ever get are error messages. Email would be better because you could get more cache info in an email sent to your phone. Groundspeak needs to add this to the paid membership part of the service. I know that there are apps out there I have an app on my Pre but ya have ta have an internet connection to use them. I can also access the full geocaching.com web site from my Pre but I still gotta have an internet connection to do it. Past disasters have shown that simple text data will work in most low signal areas. What does everybody else think? Oh, yea, I searched the forum for this topic and didn't find anything. +ghettomedic
Check out the link above. I use the textmarks all the time, I haven't gotten the DNF part to work but the other stuff does. I have it linked to twitter which then updates my Facebook status Link to comment
+eagsc7
So long as you write in there "geoc xGCCODE I Hate DNF'in Caches..." the DNF Feature works. Link to comment
+DENelson83
Of course it only works in the States, not in Canada. Link to comment
